If you come to San Francisco

Today The Onion attempts a shout-out to my San Francisco neighborhood of Bernal Heights, in a particularly drawn-out piece about a man whose "fascination with new dental products is matched only by his ability to grow bored with them."

I guess they asked somebody, hey, what's the new hip neighborhood in San Francisco, the equivalent of Williamsburg? and somebody said, I dunno, Bernal Heights, maybe. But the thinness of this conceit is revealed in one fatal sentence:

"But lately, since they opened the Whole Foods near his apartment, he's been on an organic, all-natural kick."

Oops! Problem is, there are few apartments per se in Bernal Heights; most people live in flats. And no Whole Foods opened nearby.

Then I happened to notice this on Craigslist: Party with Onion staff at a trendy Mission Dist. bar. Seems they're about to start distributing the tabloid in the city.
