Stupid book deal of the week

I guess this goes to show that surprise endings still haven't gone out of style. From Publishers Lunch:
Former Fitness magazine editor-in-chief Emily Listfield's LOST & FOUND, drawing on a real-life incident in which her husband disappeared while swimming at night, presumed to have drowned, but also offering another inside look at the magazine world, to Greer Hendricks at Atria, by Suzanne Gluck and Shana Kelly at the William Morris Agency.
I just love that -- "presumed to have drowned, but also offering another inside look at the magazine world." Maybe he didn't really drown, he just went to work for Bonnie Fuller.

Using the same syntax, we could say "President Bush was the toast of Saturday's White House Correspondents' dinner, but starting another war while everyone was laughing."
