Why they're not publishing our novels

• Standard reasons for rejecting 99% of novels, including "Author is functionally illiterate" and "It's nice that you're working on your problems, but you need to see a shrink instead of writing about them." For what it's worth, I think my novel, which has been rejected by nine or ten publishers by now, is up to reason 11 or 12 -- very much in the close-but-no category.
