The head of Colorado Springs' New Life Church and the president of the National Association of Evangelicals resigned today following allegations he had a sexual relationship with a Denver man -- a male escort, naturally, who said Haggard had been a client for three years. Haggard and New Life Church were the subject of this October 2005 Harpers article; here's an April 2005 account of a Haggard visit to Hawaii (from which the photo at left was taken).
