Marilyn and her mom on erotica and sex ed

One of my favorite people, Marilyn Jaye Lewis, was asked to testify at a trial in federal court in Pennsylvania as the government tries to figure out what to do with the Child Online Protection Act or COPA. Nerve.com is blogging the trial, and after Marilyn testified the other day, interviewed Marilyn and her mother, who attended the trial.

I published Marilyn's stories back in the 1990s in Frighten the Horses, and I interviewed her earlier this year. Marilyn is the founder of the Erotic Authors Association, which publishes a EAA Signature Series of porn books, including my (pseudononymous) Lesbian Camp Girls, parts of which were entered into evidence in the trial.

Talk about being published!

It's ACLU v. US Atty. Gen. Gonzalez; here's the ACLU's press release as the trial began and here is the transcript of Marilyn's testimony, beginning at page 75 of the PDF; she discusses Lesbian Camp Girls beginning on page 96 of the PDF.
