Punk never dies

Don't miss this Patti Smith interview on, of all places, MSNBC. (Along with the psychedelic music of the 60s being played on Walgreens' muzak, this is a sure sign my generation is aging: When a punk icon is profiled on MSNBC.)

Our philosophy was that rock and roll should be a cultural voice and not glamorized. It didn’t belong to the rich and famous; it belonged to the people.
