They shall not stop to rest here

The city of Houston, horrid armpit that it is, thinks it has figured out a way to keep homeless people out of the city's libraries: people with "offensive odor" are now banned.

My mom worked there for like 10 years. Oh, the stories I've heard! Granted, my mom is super racist etc in the worst way. but actually, it was a daily problem for her to have to "help" loud crazy smelly guys who were standing there surfing porn. She fought against censoring or filtering, but a thing goes on where the horrible guys try to make the library ladies talk to them while they are looking at the porn on purpose as a gross power trip. They had no way to throw people out. I think as a librarian she would hold her nose and help someone looking for information, no problem, but... Trust me it's a more complicated problem when you are actually in the middle of it!

I wonder if they will enforce this rule against scary bowheads wearing a ton of perfume... or people who reek of cigarettes! Or maybe have a nice, cheap bathhouse right next to the library!

And I bet you haven't heard the word "bowhead" in a while, home slice!

Bowhead -- that must be an 80s reference, after my time!
